About
MODELLING...
This blog is, mainly, about my favourite hobby, plastic scale modelling.I prefer military subjects, such as aircraft and armour, mainly in 1/48 and 1/35 scale respectively, although I build some models in 1/72 scale too, occasionally.
I also like models of cars and motorcycles, since achieving a smooth glossy paint finish is a challenge to me.
Figures are another subject that poses great challenge in painting since the skills needed are at an artist level.
Having been born at the same time that the Man set foot on the Moon, space related themes are among my choices too, either real space ou science fiction.
Regardless of the chosen area, I am completely fascinated with the wonderful world of weathering techniques and its potential to create realistic models.
Throughout the posts on this blog, I will show you my projects and share tips on building them.
...AND MORE
Other than scale modelling, I also enjoy drawing, either free hand or at the computer, and 3D modelling too.Eventually, these areas of interest will merge with the previous one, either in the form of 2D profiles, nose/tail art illustration or 3D printed parts.
Whenever possible, I will try to photograph exhaustively the real subjects and make reference walk arounds to help others detail their models as best as possible.
In addition to model making, I will also share my work in these other areas of interest.
I hope you can find something useful here.
Thank you for your visit.
Cheers.
